Evaluation of lymph node metastasis by mediastinoscopy in patients with lung cancer

摘要：
The cervical mediastinoscopy were performed for 1000 patients with lung cancer. The mediastinal lymph node metastasis were detected in 249 patients, The accuracy of mediastinoscopy was 97% in right-sided disease and 99% for left-sided disease within the scope-detectable region, The cases diagnosed as negative by mediastinoscopy had a significantly better prognosis than the positive cases.
