Encapsulation of a UV filter in a mesoporous silica for cosmetic applications The encapsulation of active ingredients knows an increasing interest in many fields such as pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, food, cosmetics, textiles, building... According to the targeted applications, a permanent or unstable encapsulation with a controlled release of the active over time and sometimes space is sought. Chemistry can meet these different expectations. This article describes how, from a problematic specific to the field of cosmetics, an organic-inorganic hybrid material was designed, synthesized, characterized to better understand its properties and tested in cosmetic formulations.
