摘要
Wireless Sensor Network is a technologically high in demand field which is used in plenitude of areas like military surveillance, environmental control, automatic manufacturing environments, smart homes etc. WSN is an affiliation of relatively large number of nodes that are spread across a large geographical area. The components include the features of sensing, data processing and communicating. For WSNs, different routing protocols got developed. An overview of such routing protocols and their classification is explained in this paper. It has classified popular routing protocols into these categories: Hierarchical based, Data Centric based, & Location based. At the end we have tabulated our findings on criteria's like; Query Based, Power Usage, Scalability, Lifetime, Data Aggregation, Overhead, Quality of Service, & Data Delivery Model.
