摘要
Hongloumeng is an encyclopedia of the Chinese traditional culture. Such characteristic of it will definitely lead to difficulties in its translation. This paper makes an attempt to study allusion translation in The Story of the Stone from the perspective of Andre Lefevere's rewriting theory. Allusions are extremely culture-specific. So, it is hoped that the present study will contribute to future translation studies and practice.
