摘要
In this letter, multiband efficient asymmetric transmission is realized both numerically and experimentally in the microwave frequency regime, using a three-layered chiral metasurface (CMS). The proposed structure achieves propagation direction dependent polarization transformation where the plane of polarization is rotated by 90 degrees for x/y polarization in the backward/forward direction. The asymmetric polarization transformation functionality for linearly polarized impinging waves is accomplished in three frequency bands: 10.9-11.2 GHz, 14.4-14.8 GHz, and 18.4-18.5 GHz. Moreover, the structure has a robust response to the variation of incidence angle (up to 40 degrees). The measurement results of the fabricated structure are found to be in good agreement with the numerical results.
