The variation of resistivity in soft magnetic materials with temperature is extremely important for applications of electrical machines in aerospace applications. The design of a system for rapid and accurate measurement of the resistivity of Epstein strips under a wide range of temperatures is presented. Two cobalt-iron alloys are assessed up to 200 degrees C, showing significant differences in their resistivity but almost identical temperature coefficients of resistivity. (C) 2006 Elsevier B. V.
