摘要
Topical theoretical points of the solution chemistry of tervalent lanthanides and actinides related to their solvent extraction separation are concerned: a comparison is made between the properties of lanthanide and actinide aqua ions such as coordination numbers, interatomic distances, redox potentials, polarizability, and thermodynamic parameters, In-series variations in the hard-acid character of the tervalent lanthanides and actinides and the spectral properties of their complexes are discussed. The hardness of the p-, d-, and f-block elements is studied.
