摘要
Epoxy resin of 1, 1'-bis (3-methyl-4-hydroxy phenyl)cyclohexane-isophthalate (EMCIP) / terephthalate (EMCTP) have been synthesized and characterized by IR, (HNMR)-H-1, GPC, DSC and TGA at 10 degrees C/min heating rate in nitrogen atmosphere. GPC supported formation of moderate molecular weights polyesters. EMCIP and EMCTP possess excellent solubility in common solvents and thermal stability (300-310 degrees C). They followed first order (1.05-1.26) degradation kinetics. The associated kinetic parameters have been determined according to Freeman-Anderson method. Kinetic parameters supported more rigid nature of EMCIP due to symmetry effect.
