Factors affecting the frequency of senior center participation in Korea

This study examines the factors related to the frequency of senior center participation in Korea. The analyses are based on a sample of 316 Koreans, aged 65 and over, participating at a senior center in Chon-An City. The results show that gender, level of education, and health are statistically significant predictors of participation. That is, male Korean elderly, those who have a higher level of education, and those with better self-assessed health are more likely to participate at the center. Gender differences were also found.
