摘要
Comparing with the traditional method to make the tin oxide (SnO2) sensor material (hydrolysis of SnCl4 in basic solutions), a novel CVD strategy has been investigated to prepare highly sensitive SnO2 microspheres. SnCl2 was used as the precursor to form SnS2 microspheres, which was composed of single-crystal SnS2 sheet. Then, the sample was oxidized in air and transformed to polycrystalline SnO2 microspheres. BET surface area and BJH pore diameter were measured with nitrogen adsorption at 77.36 K on a Chemsorb-3000 instrument. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) results showed the sample had small grain size, which made it highly sensitive to ethanol. (c) 2005 Elsevier B.V.
