Monitoring bipartite entanglement in hybrid carbon nanotube systems via optical 2D photon-echo spectroscopy

摘要：

We consider a pair of spatially separated extrinsic atomic type species coupled to a low-energy surface plasmon resonance of a metallic carbon nanotube. By explicit calculations of non-linear response signals, we show that the two-dimensional photon-echo spectroscopy is a very sensitive tool for probing and monitoring the bipartite inter-atomic coherences and entanglement in such a hybrid quantum system. The non-linear spectroscopy can also be used to control the atom-nanotube coupling strength. We formulate practical recommendations for the experimental observation of the bipartite entanglement of extrinsic atomic species in hybrid carbon nanotubes. (C) 2012 Elsevier B.V.
