摘要
This study aims to characterize bullying through the speech of elementary school teachers, verifying the causes and identifying the practices, those who suffer, and what is needed to combat it. Twenty-four teachers from eight public schools in the Greater Aracaju-SE participated. Data was collected through semi-structured interviews, investigating knowledge, perceptions, occurrences, practices, and strategies regarding bullying in schools. A textual analysis was performed by IRAMUTEQ (Hierarchical Classification Descending - HCD). In the speeches of the participants, we noticed: of this type of violence is naturalized in the school environment; any student can perform this practice; and targets are usually those whose characteristics are different from the social standard. The mentioned strategies are in line with multidisciplinary actions involving teachers, staff, family members, students, and society.
