摘要
We present a comparative study of field emission from quantum dots of different geometrical shapes. In course, we formulate the field emission current density from a quantum box ( cube) experiencing Fowler Nordheim tunneling. Three other quantum dots - one spherical and two cylindrical, all of volume as same as the quantum cube, are considered. Variations of the current density with applied electric field and dot dimension are studied for all dots, and compared in this communication.
