摘要
A newly-designed traditional lime mortar with a phase change material used as an additive is presented. The lime mortar with a phase change material proposed in this work has improved thermal insulation properties, compressive strength and carbonation rate compared to the classic lime mortar (control sample). It could be used for laying stones, as well as to coat the inner side of walls, and in both cases it would help reduce heat loss from the building. This new-old material is environmentally friendly and compatible with traditional building materials, which means that it can be used in the restoration of architectural heritage and also in modern rustic architecture where natural stone is used.
