摘要
The Arar nose is a favorable area for Kais carbonate exploration in the east of Salawati basin, where the reef reservoir is very prominent. The obvious reefs have been drilled, and the challenge for hydrocarbon exploration is more difficult. The Kais carbonate porosity of North Klain platform and reef reservoirs is calculated by analyzing well logging data, the structural features and sedimentary facies are identified by interpreting 3D seismic data. The results are achieved as follows: The Kais carbonate facies include reef, platform and bank facies. The effective reservoir is at the upper zone of Kais carbonate, which related with weathered rind and coincided with the basin evolution. The petroleum plays and hydrocarbon accumulation were controlled by Arar strike-slip fault. Platform facies and bank facies become the new prospects of petroleum exploration. The results are of good significance to explore the Miocene Kais carbonate prospects in the east of Salawati basin.
