摘要
The room-ternperature mechanical properties of Zr-doped Ni3Al alloy obtained by different heat treatments are investigated in the paper. The results show that the degree of recrystallization affects the mechanical properties of Ni3Al-Zr alloy. The variation of strength at room temperature accords well with recovery, recrystallization and grain growth; three stages of the typical annealing process. However, it is interesting that the variation of ductility at room temperature exhibits a contrary trend compared with that in the typical annealing process. The stress-relieved incompletely recrystallized specimens have the most desirable properties. The elongated or raw grain structure of as-rolled materials provides the minimum of transverse grain boundaries, and this disrupts the path of atomic hydrogen entering the specimen during tensile stressing, (C) 2004 Elsevier B.V.
