摘要
Future installations for radioactive ion beams aim at producing much higher intensities. Accompanying increases in unwanted (isobaric) contamination places more stringent requirements on beam purification, especially mass separation. This article describes the design, construction and first tests of a new-generation RFQ beam cooler, for improving emittances of microampere beams. (c) 2008 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
