摘要
An ionization-recombination model based on three-body electron-ion collisions is implemented in classical molecular dynamics. A new ion-electron regularized potential is used to account for the ionization energies of the various ion stages. The purpose of the present work is to probe the feasibility of such an approach for providing qualitative information on charge dynamics for two component plasmas with special attention to strongly coupled conditions. An illustration of the technique is carried out for magnesium. (C) 2007 Published by Elsevier B.V.
