摘要：
An ultrasonic scanner has been developed for scanning objects under sodium in FBTR reactor vessel. The scanner using a sodium proof transducer was specially developed for detecting any protruding sub-assembly in the above core plenum. Currently we have installed two more transducers in the scanner, one of which will also using an X-Y scanner in which the movements of the FBTR scanner are simulated to obtain images of the SA tops. These images are analysed to obtain data such as distance of the SA from the transducer, the distance between two SA tops etc. These data will be useful to determine the effect of irradiation if any, on the SA structural material such as bowing, growth etc.
