Capillary electrophoresis was used for the analysis of quinclorac in this study. By optimizing the conditions,a method of using capillary electrophoresis to detect quinclorac was established. The optimum detection was achieved for quinclorac under the conditions as follows: 100 mmol/L triethylammonium acetate buffer(pH = 5.5)as backgroud electrolyte, reverse field strength of 340 V/cm, temperature of 30 degrees C, sample concentration of 50 mg/L, injection (3.44 kPa x 5 s) and UV detection wavelength of 200 nm. Compared with HPLC, capillary electrophoresis has the advantages of higher efficient separation, rapider analysis and less amount of sample and reagent.
