摘要：
National competitiveness and consequently overall prosperity directly depends on the ability of the nation and its citizens to generate new commercially applicable ideas and innovations and implement them. Differences between countries in this respect are considerable, which is confirmed by international statistical comparisons. It is the successful individuals and individuals inside teams who are behind these processes, but they are currently still not studied enough and shall be given more attention. The article is an overview of current studies and ask important research questions, to which we should try to find an answer, if we are to ultimately enhance both companies, and national competitiveness.
