The pupae of Lutzia bigoti (Bellardi) and Lt. allostigma (Howard et A.) from Central America and Lt. tigripes (De Grandpre and De Charmoy) from Africa and western Asia, are described. Comparison is made between New World and Old World species. Marked differences are noted in the shape of the trumpet and paddle, in the reticulation of the intersegmental membranes, and in some elements of chaetotaxy. Keys to Lutzia pupae and larvae are given.
