摘要
In this paper, the structural properties and electron states of amorphous diamond-like carbon (a-DLC) are determined by first-principles calculations. Results are presented for the stability, hybrid fraction and density of states of the material based on the local geometrical distortion in the a-DLC. Investigations of the structural and electronic properties of the a-DLC provide new insights into the microscopic structure of the material produced in compressive stress experiments.
