摘要
Transmission of three polarization to obtain the polarimetric covariance matrix is reviewed. Least square error estimation is then proposed to obtain the polarimetric covariance matrix from the measurements. Theoretical analysis of the method's performance is presented. Also results from simulated data are shown. These results demonstrate that all elements of the polarimetric covariance matrix can be simultaneously obtained with accuracies that are comparable or better than those achieved with other measurement schemes.
