摘要
Flexible manufacturing system (FMS) is a highly dynamic system with considerable product mix and manufacturing environment is also dynamic in nature. With these dynamic scenarios of manufacturing, static scheduling of FMS will not yield the expected results. Scheduling research has largely ignored this problem, focusing instead on optimization of static schedules. In this paper, an attempt has been made to study the performance of an FMS scheduling with machine breakdown and compared without breakdown using various dispatching rules. The results show the proposed RIT/TPT performs better than SPT & FIFO on the performance of FMS. (C) 2012 Published by Elsevier Ltd.
