A Novel 3-D Cobalt-Organic Framework Constructed by 2-Ethyl-1H-imidazole-4,5-dicarboxylic Acid and 4,4′-Bipyridine

摘要
A novel coordination polymer, namely {[Co-3(HEIDC)(2)(4,4-bipy)(3)]2NO(3)6H(2)O}(n) (1), has been hydrothermally successfully synthesized by the reaction of 2-ethyl-1H-imidazole-4,5-dicarboxylic acid (H3EIDC) with Co(NO3)(2)6H(2)O in the presence of 4,4-bipyridine (4,4-bipy). The single-crystal structural study reveals that 1 is a 3D metal-organic framework, which can be viewed as made up of [Co-3(HEIDC)(2)(4,4-bipy)(3)](n) units, nitrate anions and solvent water molecules. Its thermal properties have been determined as well.
