摘要
Mobile devices have become primary computational platforms for many users. The prime constraints include storage and battery life. Energy saving can be provided as a service to mobile users via Mobile Cloud Computing. Offloading mobile applications to mobile cloud is one of the ways to conserve energy. Under this, heavy computations are performed remotely on the cloud, thereby reducing the energy utilization and enhancing the applications performance. But offloading must be applied only on certain selected applications based on their profiles, instead of offloading all the applications for better performance and energy savings. Moreover a continuous sync between mobile device and cloud results in high-energy requirement. Synchronization to cloud must be based on certain validations to improve efficiency and resource utilization.
