Analytic orbital averaging technique for computing tangential-thrust trajectories

摘要
An analytic orbital averaging technique was developed for computing long-duration low tangential-thrust trajectories. Simple analytic expressions for the incremental changes in the classical orbital elements in presence of Earth-shadow and oblateness effects were derived. The time histories of classical orbital elements were obtained. It was shown that the orbital averaging technique is fast and exhibits satisfactory solution accuracy when compared with precise integration results.
