摘要
In this paper, dielectric resonator (DR) filters operating in TE01 delta mode with inline structure are utilized to generate bandpass response with controllable transmission zeros (TZs). By proper excitation of the input and output resonators and introducing an extra mechanism for coupling the (higher order modes) HOMs a two and a three-pole filter with TZs are designed, fabricated and tested. Simulation and measurement results show a successful excitation and utilization of HOMs for TZ generation. An equivalent circuit composed of lumped element components validates the contribution of HOMs in generating TZs for this type of filters. A general approach for the calculation of circuit components based on the electrical characteristic of the structure is proposed which paves the way for introducing the design approach for this kind of filters.
