Production and optical study of PbI2 nanorod-like particles

摘要
Lead iodine nanorod-like particles have been produced for the first time in toluene by addition of NaNO3 in reaction medium and stabilized by surfactant. They are nanorods with an average length 50 nm and diameter 8 nm. Photoluminescence spectra recorded at 4 K does provide a small blue shift for about DeltaE = 3.5 meV due to quantum confinement of exciton. (C) 2001 Acta Materialia Inc.
