摘要
The presence of the manufacturing industry in the development regions of Romania - evidenced by the high weigh registered by this industry in the total turnover, investments, labor force at regional level -, gives them an appreciable competitive advantage, shown by the level of labor productivity that varies widely between industrialized and agrarian regions. In addition, the leading firms in the development regions are, in most cases, of manufacturing profile. The conclusion of the analysis is that the manufacturing industry has constantly proved to be the driving force of the economy and the regions development, both through its own performance and the driving effect on other economic activities
