Lead-free piezoelectric ceramics 0.95(K0.5Na0.5)NbO3-0.05Li(Nb0.5S0.5)O-3 (KNN-5LNS) were synthesized by the conventional ceramic sintering technique. The phase structure, microstructure and electrical properties of KNN-5LNS ceramics were investigated. The results of XRD indicate that KNN-5LNS possess a pure tetragonal structure. With the sintering temperature increasing, the average size of grains first increases and then decreases. Maximum value 3.5 mu m was obtained for samples sintered at 1020 degrees C. The KNN-5LNS sintered at 1020 degrees C obtains the optimum electrical properties: d(33)=245 pC/N, K-p=0.42, tan delta=0.03, epsilon(T)(33)/epsilon(0)=640, E-c=2.1 kV/mm, and P-r=20 mu C/cm(2)
