摘要:
We have to overcome technical problems in conducting mechanical tests in which temperature is varied. By presenting the method of and results from a consolidation test on a saturated clay in which specimen's temperature was varied from 20 to 80 degrees C, we discuss the effects of the thermal deformation of the equipment and soil constituents, soil particles and pore fluid, upon the determination of the volume change and the void ratio.
