摘要
Pt/C and PtSn/C were investigated for electrochemical activity towards borohydride oxidation in direct borohydride fuel cell applications. Voltammetry on stationary electrode and rotating disk electrode, chronopotentiometry and chronoamperometry were conducted on a thin film electrode. The results indicate that the presence of Sn in the catalyst may facilitate the borohydride oxidation reaction. An adsorption-electrochemical step is proposed to explain the enhanced activity for the PtSn/C.
