摘要
Magnetoimpedance (MI) effect of soft amorphous materials has proved to be very useful for magnetic field sensing, the highest sensitivity attained when the material is submitted to a permanent magnetic field of a few Oersted, that is, when the MI versus field curve is biased. Materials presenting intrinsically biased MI curves are optimal for sensing applications because they do not require any extra externally applied magnetic field during operation. In this work, the challenge of producing a material which, in addition to good sensitivity, has auto-biased MI response has been attained by thermal and magnetic treatments of Co70Fe5Si15B10 ribbons.
