An IR study of the morphology of polymeric composites

摘要
The polymeric matrix prepared by the solution procedure from a 1: 1 blend of polyvinylidene fluoride and polyamidobenzimidazole and its composite filled with NTsTS-1 piezoelectric ceramic exhibiting high thermal and ferroelectric properties were studied by Fourier IR spectroscopy. In this matrix, polyvinylidene fluoride crystallizes with the formation of a polar beta-phase, imparting enhanced ferroelectric properties to the material. Determination of the particle size distribution in the polymeric matrix by optical microscopy and IR spectroscopy gave consistent results.
