摘要：
The paper describes traffic control and road safety problems and their solutions using image processing algorithms. We have developed an algorithm to detect stopped vehicles during traffic surveillance. Our algorithm is based on background estimation in image sequences. This paper offers some features of algorithm implementation in smart cameras and experimental results.
