摘要
Results for the ultimate bearing capacity of a surface strip foundation on a saturated clay slope reinforced with layers of geogrid are presented. Only one type of biaxial geogrid was used for the tests. The location of the top geogrid layer, center-to-center spacing of the geogrid layer, and depth of geogrid reinforcement was varied. Based on the model test results a preliminary outline for estimation of the ultimate bearing capacity is presented.
