摘要：
The compression process of a frequency-modulated electromagnetic pulse in a multilayered helically coiled dielectric waveguide is simulated numerically. The time profile of the source pulse which is compressed into the objective one at the output is found for this dispersive element. It is demonstrated that the coiling of the dielectric waveguide permit one to make it more compact when compared to an equivalent straight waveguide section.
