Actions concerning the field of scholar safety in a wide sense are frequently carried out in a defragmented way, since they involve different social actors and several institutions: students' parents, educational centers, teaching staff, police and local police (Guardia Civil) and judicial system, among others. This fact normally leads to inefficient actions and protocols that occasionally give rise to a waste of time that can cause irreparable damages to students. The key of the project that is presented here, denominated "Plan Director", consists on the unification of several isolated processes in a unique protocol. This unified process includes only a decision flow starting from the detection of dangerous situations, bulling, unsafety installations and environments, attacks, traffic, etcetera, until the intervention of all the institutions and professionals involved in seeking to a solution to the detected trouble. The "Plan Director" program has been recently implanted in the city of Boadilla del Monte (sited in Madrid Community), leaded by its city council. The main objective of the program is to improve the security of students in educational centers and school settings, to detect the needs of every nursery school, school and high school, and to analyse and support them from a global point of view. To do this, it is crucial that Local Police be able to attend permanently and in an individual way to all educational centers, coordinating its actuations and safety protocols with other involved agents (i.e. Guardia Civil and Civil Defence), and reaching a stronger communication and collaboration with educational community (headmasters, teaching staff and parents associations). In addition, this project also takes advantage of different technological resources: a surveillance system composed by a video recording system that is monitored by local police in real time has been installed in eleven public school centers belonging to Boadilla del Monte. Thanks to the "Plan Director" program it is possible to enhance the security of different agents: pedestrians, students and traffic among others.
