摘要
In the present investigation, an industrial multipass drawing machine is used in order to measure the drawing force and the temperature values corresponding to different speeds varying between 1 and 7 m/s. The drawing force is measured using wire rolling gauge, placed behind the die. Dies are instrumented with thermocouples to estimate the heat generated by the process. The experimental results show that the drawing force and the temperature depend on interface conditions as well as the wire materials. The Avitzur's model has been modified by introducing a function between the friction coefficient and temperature experimentally determined.
