摘要
The basic reason that reduces vision in turbid media such as seawater or a turbid atmosphere is multiple light scattering on inhomogeneities of the medium. One of possibilities to improve the image quality for objects observed in a turbid medium is associated with the application of background illumination based on intensity modulated high frequency beams. A narrow light beam scanned over the field of vision is intensity modulated by a complex high frequency signal. A receiver detects the high frequency modulation signal convoluted with the reference signal. At this stage, signal compression occurs that determines the range dependent system resolution. Under certain conditions, the PSF at the accuracy of the normalization coefficient coincides with the irradiance distribution in the transverse cross section of the initial narrow beam. The self similar solution to the radiation transfer equation in the small angle approximation allows for photon range dispersion. This makes it possible to obtain a simple expression for the PSF.
