摘要
This paper focuses on how to reduce the resistance of a ship at design draft by reducing the wave resistance. A numerical optimization integrated system, Which incorporates three main components, namely the optimization technique, the FFD technique, and the CFD technique, is used to optimize the hull lines of the ship bow automatically. The optimal hull forms obtained are validated computationally and experimentally. The Fluent software is used to compute the total resistance of the original case and the optimal one, showing that the optimal case's resistance is 11% less than the original one. The model test's result shows that the optimal case's resistance is reduced by 8.6%. The drag reduction is even higher when the model is towed at a higher speed, and ship model with light load also gives a better resistance coefficient. Based on the model. test and numerical computation, it can be concluded that the optimization is successful.
