摘要
For reducing the cost of repair operations in deteriorated concrete structures, suitable selection of repair materials based on the mechanical compatibility is one of the main issues. This paper presents the influence of mechanical properties on the performance of repaired reinforced concrete beams under monotonic loading. Finite element program (ANSYS) was used to simulate the repair system. The effects of mechanical properties including tensile strength, compressive strength and modulus of elasticity and the thickness of repair concrete is investigated by choosing four different mix designs as a repair concrete when some part of cement is respectively replaced by silica-fume (SF), ground granulated blast-furnace slag (GGBS) and a combination of SF and GGBS (ternary system). Results show that mechanical properties of repair concrete should be considered in the selection of repair materials and determining the optimum thickness of repair layer to reduce the risk of cracking and delamination in patch repair. Also among the investigated mixtures, the ternary system had the best performance as a repair concrete.
