摘要
In this research work, we explored the radio resource allocation schemes used in LTE downlink. We studied the frame and physical resource block (PRB) of LTE both in frequency and time domains. We propose a hybrid proportional fairness scheme (SAMM) which uses proportional fairness (PF) and maximum throughput (MT) schemes in such a way that PF runs for K users in 1st transmission time interval (TTI) and the MT allocates RBs to K-1 users in 2nd TTI. We discard one user who has highest throughput in 1st TTI. Finally we compared round robin, maximum throughput, max-min, proportional fairness, and the proposed scheme using Matlab. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme outperforms the PF for the users with high signal-to-noise ratio and renders 20% increase in sum-throughput at the expense of 19.5% fairness index compared to the PF.
