摘要
This study deals with the relations between mathematical, verbal, and technical-practical achievement and the corresponding self-concepts in these domains. Subjects were N = 303 Students of a vocational training program in construction. Factor analyses supported the assumption of a separate self-concept of technical-practical abilities. Structural Equation Modelling revealed the expected positive effects of achievements on the corresponding self-concepts. Achievement in the technical-practical domain negatively impacted the self-concepts in other domains. Results are discussed with regard to the Internal/External frame of reference model.
