摘要
We summarize findings of comparative studies in different cells cultures susceptible to ASFV infection, through the analysis of virus components and infectious virus particles production, as alternative means to grow field and laboratory ASFV strains. We also provide different methods to assay the infectivity of ASFV samples and to purify the infective virus particles. Finally we describe the general strategy to construct virus deletion mutants that can be engineered to obtain attenuated ASFV strains suitable for vaccine approaches. (C) 2012 Elsevier B.V.
