Epieremulus (Oribatida, Anderemaeidae) is recorded in the Peruvian fauna for the first time. A new species- Epieremulus mariacaballeroae sp. nov.-is described, based on materials collected from upper soil and leaf litter in primary mountain forests. Generic diagnosis, an identification key, distribution and habitats of representatives of Epieremulus are presented. A species status has been proposed for Epieremulus granulatus andicola: Epieremulus andicola (P. Balogh, 1988) stat. nov.
