摘要：

This article aims to provide a report of twelfth edition of the international conference The Child and the Book (Wroclaw, May 19 to 21 2016), dedicated to the relationship between play and children's literature. The conference, which was attended by scholars from around the world, was also the occasion to commemorate the centenary of the birth of prof. Jerzy Cieslikowski (1916-1977), one of the finest scholars of Polish literature for children, that long was involved in the dimension of the game in children's books.
