The development of electromagnetic pumps for the BN-800 reactor facility is discussed. TsLIN 1.5/430 and TsLIN 4/26 electromagnetic pumps are used in the emergency cooling system and in technological (auxiliary) circulation loops. These pumps were designed and approved for operation under the conditions of the corresponding loops. The pumps for BN-800 are designed to secure the nominal parameters in the event of an earthquake of magnitude 7 on the MSK-64 scale. When assembled and operated according to the safety requirements, they conform to the classification of loops. The main constituent parts of the TsLIN 4/26 pump are a cylindrical channel and an inductor. The channel core includes a magnetic circuit, an inner shell, and flow deflectors. The magnetic circuit of the core is assembled from sheets of anisotropic electrotechnical steel with a thermally stable coating, which are secured to the austenitic steel framework. The electromagnetic pumps intended for BN-800 can operate with the parameters of the external medium (air) which are determined by the reactor building's ventilation system.
